Amaravati: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu on Monday said that as part of the Swarnandhra Vision-2047, they will undertake a massive exercise for preparing visions for each Assembly segment.
During a presentation in the Assembly, he announced the appointment of district-level officers as special officers, launching of pilot projects for four constituencies and advised against controversy over Three-Language Policy. Naidu's presentation stated that agriculture and allied sectors are expected to grow from Rs5.17 lakh crore (2024-25) to Rs52.56 lakh crore (2047-48). Industries projected to increase from Rs3.40 lakh crore (2024-25) to Rs74 lakh crore (2047-48) and services estimated to rise from Rs6.12 lakh crore (2024-25) to Rs155.88 lakh crore (2047-48). The overall GSDP will grow from Rs15.93 lakh crore (2024-25) to Rs308.11 lakh crore (2047-48). and per capita Income from Rs2.98 lakh (2024-25) to Rs54.60 lakh (2047-48).
As part of the Swarnandhra Vision 2047, Andhra Pradesh Government is formulating development plans at the constituency level, Naidu stated and directed the MLAs to take responsibility for executing these plans. The pilot phase includes four constituencies—Kuppam, Pithapuram, Mangalagiri, and Uravakonda—with vision documents already prepared. A framework for the remaining constituencies will be developed soon.
The Chief Minister explained how the government will support MLAs in executing constituency development plans and stressed district, municipal, and village-level action plans. He also announced that district vision documents will be released by the Collectors.
Naidu urged people to understand the current challenges and assured that the government is committed to fulfilling public aspirations. Unlike the previous administration, which drove industries away, he emphasised the importance of attracting industries to the State. He encouraged MLAs to actively participate in bringing investments and developing agriculture, industries, and the service sector to boost income.
Speaking about development goals for Swarnaandhra, he said In alignment with Viksit Bharat 2047, AP has set a target of 15 per cent annual growth to transform the state into a Rs.308 lakh crore economy by 2047, with a per capita income of Rs.55 lakh. Specific plans are in place to develop Rayalaseema as a hub for horticulture, solar, wind, and pumped energy projects. Anantapur, once a drought-prone district, is now among the top five districts in development and could reach the top position soon.
Declaring housing for every family, he said they will give house-sites to all families--three cents in rural areas and two cents in urban areas. If beneficiaries already have a one-cent site, they will receive an additional two cents. By 2029, every family
will have a house.
